Something else to note is I mostly use Jazz or Latin styles, I think this might have something to do with it since the latin kits often have percussion instruments (clave, guirjo, etc) in addition to standard kit drums.Įdited by watermelon ( 03/01/17 10:36 AM) I've tried exporting the MIDI drum tracks and dropping them into a SD track directly but this has the same results as loading SD directly in BIAB. This works without a hitch except I can't get the drum kit mapping right either way. I use BIAB to generate rhythm section and piano tracks which I then import into Sonar X3 and record my guitars on top. I've found other suggestions to make a custom patch map but this has proven easier said than done. I've searched on PG's site and I found a few threads on this before, but none of them address this particular issue.

I have multiple drumsets available in SD and I've tried them all but the MIDI mappings are always messed up. I've been able to add SD as a plugin in BIAB but the mappings are really off- midi tracks that should be played on the hi-hat are sent to SD on the bass drum, etc.

Thanks for all the feedback on them, though.Has anyone had any success using Superior Drummer as a plugin for BIAB? But I just wanted to keep these Youtube videos one-take and not punch-in and use various camera angles to make everything perfect. In all of these PBUG tracks, there are a few spots where I'd go back and punch-in/fix if I were doing this for a client and it was just about the audio. If that's a spot you're referring to, then yeah. Anyway man, just wanted to say I'm really digging your playing and I'm looking forward to hearing more of your music and drumming!I'll definitely admit that at 4:38 - that fill going into the chorus again - I got just slightly behind the track and had to recover really quickly once back into the chorus. Wow, you hit that one out of the park (and this one to, for that matter)! Downhill Falls flows effortlessly and there are no video sync or timing problems. Is it possible my computer is hiccuping and causing the odd timing / video sync problems?Īt any rate, this is the first video of yours I've seen so I went on to watch another PBUG track you laid down, Downhill Falls. There are several places where I did a double take and had to reorient myself because it's as though the time looses several fractions of a beat. The strange thing is I can tell your playing is spot on. I'm not sure if it's a sync problem or something else, but it utterly detaches and kills the groove.
