You may have seen some Wabbajack modlist use a new feature called "Stock Game" or "Game Root" and wondered what that is or how to use it yourself. This guide assumes you have all the tools such as Creation Kit, Mod Organizer, 圎dit and others already downloaded. The guide will use Skyrim Anniversary Edition for the setup however, the same process applies to regular Skyrim Special Edition. This guide will show you how to set up stock game, setup Mod Organizer 2 for Stock Game, get the paths correct for tools such as 圎dit. (yes I uninstalled it for a while then reinstalled it a few days ago) so there should be NO broken/orphaned scripts from uninstalled mods, because this time around I haven't installed any yet (not even from Bathesda nets site or workshop) hell I haven't even used the console commands! Ok so I've just reinstalled SE after playing it with mods a WHILE ago.Setting up Stock Game for Skyrim SE - by Althro Summary I have tried the file verifying game to see if it needed repair it's done nothing. So here's the problem I have noticed that the game so far. (again I have NO mods installed yet as I'm going for the achievements and its a Clean reinstall of the game its self) So I'm doing my play though because I did notice a few quest changes in the game (small ones here and there and hell I even found some of the newer quests) But recently the game started CTDing on me for what seems like no reason. I could be fast traveling and it'll crash, be in the middle of combat and it will crash. use an object (door, button, chain etc.) and it will crash, Talk to some random NPC to get or complete quest and it will crash. walk forward and it will crash, some random NPC talks to me or around me and it will crash, I never know when or where it seems to happen VERY randomly. and since this seems to be getting worse and worse with each new game (I've had to start new games due to these bugs) Now for the OLD Skyrim I know this is normally down to mods and the needing of script cleaning or save game cleaning. I am wondering if there are any script cleaners and save game cleaning tools out there like TesVEdit was there for Skyrim. Because Obviously Bathesda are still being lazy ass's on their scripting and cleaning to such a point it now badly effects an unmodded game. Script cleaners are for when updating mods, NOT to fix broken/corrupted saves or to "clean" saves after a mod or mods is disabled/uninstalled.
